DISEASES OF TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT
The temporomandibular joint is located near the ear and joins the upper and lower jaw, thus serving the mouth functions such as chewing and speaking. Many times conditions with symptoms such as ear pain,
headache and difficulty in opening the mouth, sounds during opening of the mouth and pains, are observed. It is usually caused by joint injury but also by grinding of teeth during sleep without the patient being aware.
ORAL SURGERY CASES
surgical extraction of roots, semi-enclosed and enclosed teeth, apicoectomies, removal of small benign tumours and cyst removal. In many of these cases, limited surgery is necessary.
SINUS LIFTING
The sinus is located in the upper jaw, more specifically above the roots of the back teeth. Sinus lifting is performed in cases where there is a lack of bone at a height so that an implant can be placed. The elevation of the sinus is performed through the mouth either by the open technical elevation of the sinus or by the closed technical elevation of the sinus. Part of the sinus is filled with a bone graft where it is covered with a membrane and then stabilized as well as the gums are sewn over these materials.
In the closed elevation of the sinus, a small area of elevation of the membrane is performed internally. Once the areas where the implants and the graft will be inserted have been identified, without damaging the membrane with special tools, it is pushed and lifted to the desired height.
SURGICAL PLACEMENTS OF IMPLANTS
Surgical implant placement replaces damaged or lost teeth with artificial teeth that have a similar function and appearance to natural ones. Implants are special titanium screws that are placed on the jaw and act as artificial root teeth on which we can support teeth.
They are also used by patients who do not want to put dentures or want to correct the way they talk and chew. This whole procedure certainly requires a comprehensive dental examination including 3D x-rays of the jaw and teeth.
GUIDED BONE REGENERATION (GBR)
Regenerative techniques are considered necessary in cases where part of the bone is missing in our jawbone. The technique of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) fills the missing bone point of the tooth with a bone graft.
The Origin of the graft can be either from the patient himself or from a transplant bank. After its placement, it is covered with a special membrane to protect the area.
PRF (AUTOLOGOUS FACTORS)
The autologous factors we use in many oral surgeries such as GBR, surgical extractions, etc., significantly help healing and at the same time reduce postoperative pain.
With a simple and painless blood draw in our practice, we use the patient’s blood and its derivatives to achieve the best possible result.
HALINECTOMY
Halinectomy is the removal of the bridle, a small tissue, that blocks the lip or tongue. Removal is done using a special dental soft tissue laser (biolase).
The procedure using the laser is painless and the patient has no bleeding at all.
